What have you noticed about how the land features of our community have changed since you were born?

I remember the flood of 1937. We lived up in Fairview Heights on Claiborn Place, so it was pretty high up on the hillsides. I could look out of my bedroom window upstairs and it was like I wa overlooking a lake. All the houses and trees below weren't there anymore.That whole Mill creek area was just water as far as you could see. My pediatrician, Dr. Renner, lived across the street and he came over to give me a diptheria shot. Lord- that hurt. I screamed and screamed. They delivered water in large aquamarine colored glass bottles with big corks in them. There wasn't other clean water of course. The bottles were so pretty. We didn't have electricty. I remember watching my parents and grandparents play bridge by kerosene lamps.
